Can I create a twitterfeed to Direct Message myself? I want to mashup my facebook status updates as direct twitter feeds as I can’t get the SMS updates direct from Facebook (I live in Australia and Facebook doesn’t permit overseas SMS’s).
twitterfeed // July 16, 2007 at 10:30 am |
Hi Kolya,
while you can’t use twitterfeed to direct msg, what you could to is set up a new user for this purpose, and set it to “private”. Set up twitterfeed to post to that new user account, amd follow this user with your main twitter account (after adding yourself as a friend), so you should get SMS updates from that new user, while no-one else can see the status updates.
Hope this makes sense, thanks,
Mario.

Having trouble feeding the RSS generated by Terraminds or Tweetscan into Twitterfeed. TF can’t find valid timestamps for the entries, for some reason. Any advice or a workaround?

jayhathaway: could you email me privately (mario at menti dot net) with the actual feed URLs and I’ll take a look

Is Twitterfeed down? I haven’t been able to access it all day and my feeds stopped working.

Jongos: yes, we had some problem at the hosting side, but it should now all be back up.

Hi Mario – I love the site. I am having trouble though. I changed my twitter password and I can’t remember my OpenID. So, now I can’t access the twitterfeed account. My twitter account is @thebeltway.
Can you help?
twitterfeed // March 13, 2008 at 10:01 am |
Steven – go to https://twitterfeed.com/reminder and enter the twitter username and password you used when setting up the twitter feed (i.e. not the new twitter password, but the one that twitterfeed has on file). This should show you the OpenID URL you used when setting it up.

There was an outage at the hosting provider on Friday night, but it should have been all back by Saturday morning UK time (see also http://getsatisfaction.com/twitterfeed/topics/twitterfeed_website_down)

twitterfeed down ?
hunee // September 17, 2008 at 10:50 am |
hi! Mario. Twitterfeed is feeding my very own tweets to twitter which is really not necessary and plus I can’t seem to find the twitter rss on my twitter feed list so there must be something… i have to click all feeds to inactive so that there won’t be too much feeds on twitter. i don’t want my followers to think of me as spam… i like twitterfeed tho… i think it’s a great tool and it definitely helped me a lot and it is still helping me now
hope to hear from you soon
twitterfeed // September 17, 2008 at 10:53 am |
hunee- can you contact me directly (mario at menti dot net) with the twitter account you’re posting to and the feed URL(s).

Hallo!
twitter erklärt sich einfach relativ-gut selbst, aber bei twitterfeed wird es schon etwas komplexer.
Gibt es solch nette Dinge auch in deutscher Sprache?
Grüssle aus Berlin

Hi I have been trying to log into my twitterfeed account for a while now using the Flickr OpenID authentication but I keep getting an error appearing when I authenticate on Yahoo! …. I know the password is correct because I use it all the time on Flickr.. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Alastair
twitterfeed // January 9, 2009 at 11:22 am |
Alastair – is that error coming from the Yahoo! OpenID site? If so, there isn’t really anything I can do, the way OpenID works is that twitterfeed sends you off to your OpenID provider to login/authenticate, and once authentaticated at the OpenID provider you get sent back to twitterfeed. So if there’s a problem logging in at the OpenID provider, you really need to talk to them directly.
I know nothing at all (this is of course by design) about your Yahoo! OpenID information apart from the URL that gets passed to us once you’re logged in at the OpenID provider.
twitterfeed // January 9, 2009 at 11:23 am |
Bill – if your site provides content in the form of an RSS/Atom feed, then you could use this to post updated content to twitter through twitterfeed.

Generally problems are better reported at http://getsatisfaction.com/twitterfeed
But just quickly, in your case: the problem is probably cause by the dates being in an invalid format, see for example http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.samanyoluhaber.com%2Fsondakika.rss

The one feature I would love to see on TwitterFeed is the ability to create a hashtag from a category.
For example, if I make a post in the category “PowerShell” that would send out a tweet with #PowerShell appended.
Thanks for the great service!

I am having a great time totally lost in this new adventure called Blogging. I have no idea of what I am doing, but worst yet, I have no idea WHY I am doing it.
Perhaps like climbing Mount Everest, just because it is there !

How annoying.
I’ve just spent the last 30 minutes trying to figure out a way to get a message to Twitterfeed.
I need to cancel the current account because the OpenId no longer works to log into my old Twitterfeed account.
Please CLOSE the @Fascientists account so that I can open a new one and fix the feeds

Hello there.
Since March of 2009 I have been on full board with Facebook and Twitter. I was given a request to use tweetfeed. In the email sent I was told to seek out an RSS feed to synch up all three locales. How do I go about doing that?
Thank you for your time.

can you increase the refresh rate to something shorter like 5 minutes? i’m a photographer that uploads instantly to flicker and i’d like to update my twitter in more real-time than 30 mins
N.A. Kudumu // November 4, 2009 at 10:30 am |
Mario, I normally log on to twitterfeed using OpenID. The OpenID I use is connected to a Gmail account whose password I have long since forgotten and Google to date has been useless in helping me to recover the password or cancel the account altogether. The feed is still active however I want to cancel it altogether so I can setup an entirely new feed. Is there anyway that the feed can be canceled on your end? The OpenID I use to log on is fio.maravilha.9 (the gmail account is fio.maravilha.9@gmail.com) Thanks much and I hope you can help.

But I’m still unable to connect my facebook account with my twitterfeed account. What do I do?

What if you have more than one Twitter account? Can you have more than one Twitterfeed account, or is it possible to feed more than one Twitter from one Twitterfeed account?
